A New Old Directive

Bear not false witness! Or in the case of the Ten Commandments: “Thou shall not bear false witness.”

When that directive is applied along with the perspective of “the ends justify the means”, as has been done within the political and legal fields over the last 50 years, the end result is what we are seeing in the hostilities being demonstrated currently by society. How can that undesirable behavior be eliminated or reversed?

The answer is through 180-degree awareness. In other words, deciding NOT to compete utilizing what has been taught and learned through bearing false witness and a narrative to that being competed against.

When does one know when they have been successful? When the emotion leaves you, either positive or negative in nature. When at its core, hatred leaves you.

Add to that the impact of our desire to compete as a basic desire pattern, and the awareness of its impact on what we see should begin to explain how our behavior becomes a result of what is not seen, and in building a common sense type response to what moves us to action in thought, word. and deed.
